Nothing says autumn more than a visit to a pumpkin patch. This is a must-do activity for anyone who enjoys pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies, or just decorating with pumpkins. There are a variety of pumpkin patches in San Diego, and we've made a list of some of our area favorites!

15954 Woods Valley Rd, Valley Center
For over 50 years, the Bates Nut Farm has been a family tradition. Besides pumpkins and a corn maze, they offer various other attractions such as hay and pony rides. A farm shop sells a variety of fruits, nuts, and fudge. The farm also makes jams and other food products.
14950 El Monte Rd, Lakeside
Oma's Pumpkin Patch has been a tradition in Lakeside for many years. Although there are plenty of pumpkins, it also has a variety of other attractions, such as a playground, a petting zoo, and wagon rides. The cost of admission is around $8.50 to $16.50 per person. You can book your tickets online in advance.
1200 Laurel Tree Ln, Carlsbad
Palomar Pumpkin Palooka is a fun event that the entire family can enjoy, as it has thousands of pumpkins to choose from. It's also a great place to bring the kids for various activities, such as movie nights and inflatable slides. Free parking is available, but there may be additional costs for specific events. You can follow this place on its Facebook page to keep up with what’s happening.
1201 1st St, Coronado
The Coronado Pumpkin Patch features various types of pumpkins, and it is an excellent place for everyone. It only opens for two weeks, so make sure to visit it before the end of October. Kids can decorate pumpkins and make slime. There's also a corn box filled with corn kernels as a ball pit. You can get a cup of julian apple cider and head to the patch to load your wagon.
870 Garnet Ave, San Diego
If you want giant and delicious pumpkins, Pacific Beach Pumpkin Patch is the place to start. They sell pumpkins and gourds that weigh up to a hundred pounds, and there is a free carving area for kids that will allow them to customize their pumpkins! Enjoy some apple cider while exploring!
